Back flying FOX for a couple days this week
I was surprised when flying tonight how I didn't see as many Christmas lights up as I usually do when flying in December. People usually get them up right after Thanksgiving. It was odd. Even the buildings in downtown L.A. get them up early. Now with the time change our shift is mostly night flying. It was so pretty flying tonight watching the alignment of the moon, jupiter and venus. I've actually had the pleasure of seeing them from Idyllwild the past few nights while driving around up there at sunset and in the dark. Flying over Los Angeles at night always reminds me of a ride at Disneyland. It's so beautiful and amazing with all the sparkling city lights and all the action. I bought my Lowes Santa Chopper last month when they first came out. I've been so excited about getting him up on my roof, but with the Santa Anas I experience in December which toppled my Santa Chopper last year, I can't put him up yet until I find a good way to protect him from the winds. I think I have an idea, so hopefully soon I will get some pics up.

Flying above LA at night reminds me of The Peter Pan ride too! That has to be the ride your talking about!
I had to learn how to fly after that ride!
Flying in that ship that glided me across the nursery room floor then up and out the window and into the night sky high above the city of London. What freedom my five year old heart felt! Tell you the truth I still feel that way every time I take off.
Try some plumbers tape, a hand full of fender washers and drywall screws placed into your rafters. That'll lock down Santa' skids!
Don't fall off the roof. I've tried that. The falling part was awesome, it was the abrupt stop that sucked haha!
Great !! Will be looking forward for the photos ...

Desiree,
That's sure a neat winding road you drove to work. Too bad you didn't have your motorcycle along.
Sorry you feel bad about leaving Idyllwild, but I know you'll get to work at other places you'll love too. You have a great attitude and always seem to find the good in any situation.
As for seeing so few Christmas lights on houses, I heard on the news that there aren't as many people putting them up this year because of the bad state of the economy.
Looking forward to seeing Santa arrive at your house in his helicopter, though!
Desiree,
Couldn't find an email address for you on your blog, so I'll put this in a comment.
If you haven't read this story, you'll enjoy it!
