Very sad news......
Here is the information on the crash that occurred Tuesday late afternoon. My heart goes out to those who lost their lives. I did know one of them personally. I can't release his name right now. Some of them I still do not know names yet.
Here is what has been released to the public.

I have worked with Bill the pilot who is in critical condition. My thoughts are with the 4 who have survived in hopes that they recover quickly.

Desiree, another sad reminder of the inherent risks involved in firefighting. It takes a very special type of person to go out and do this every day knowing what could happen. My thoughts are with the crews, their families, friends, and you. Be safe....

When I heard the news yesterday my heart sunk for the souls on board. I hope that those who survived heal with the help of God. And for those who gave their lives fighting this beast, may their souls be welcomed into heaven with trumpets and the thanks of so many. I am glad you are okay.

I'm glad you made this post today, Desiree. You were the person I thought of instantly as I read the article in this morning's paper as we flew from TPA to STL.
Prayers to all involved.

Numbing devastation.
So many families torn in but a moment.
Speechless......
Glad to know you are okay.
Desiree,
Are you alright? How are you?
Not everyone works in an environment where things happen that shake you to the core or worse.
I've seen things happen on the set and other places that still get to me.
Sure is funny though to be right in front of someone who is telling you something and you haven't heard a word they have uttered because you've been in a totally different universe reliving a trauma complete with Technicolor, THX Sound, Smell & Taste. I just get polite at moments like that and say "I'm so sorry, can you repeat that again!"
I know your careful..... and a stoic too.
