Flew up to VNY to have some maintenance done of Crown 1 on Wednesday. It was really cool to fly outside our bubble in Corona and bring the ship up to my own territory that I have been flying for the past 18 years. Left the ship overnight at VNY for maintenance and then picked it up the next afternoon and returned to Corona for Patrol. While at VNY ran into several friends that I hadn't seen in years. It was great seeing them. Visited the new location where Coastal Helicopters moved from Whiteman to VNY. Was good to see all of them as well. Visited with friends at Rotorcraft Support where the ship was worked on. I love VNY. It's such a fun airport! I've been enjoying flying the 407 on patrols. It is such a great machine! I have tons of cool photos to post soon as usual. It just takes to long to upload. I wish blogger would make a quicker upload tool and do multiple photos faster as well.

Cool about driving your new machine!
It's always exciting when you step into a different situation.
Hey, did you see the big sushi in the tank over at Paramount?
Funny how you see people walk by a giant squid wrapped around a submarine and they don't even give it a second glance lol!. I still get a kick out of seeing that kind of creativity.
Your right, VNY is a great place! I did my first touch & go's there. There was traffic everywhere; Off my right wing, under my left, tower told me to bear left as a jet passed me, I was freaking out with delight and terror all at the same time. What a learning curve!
The crew got today off so I'm sure we are all rolling in it, I am. What a great day! You have a great day and weekend as well.
Super blog Dez. When I'm buried by work(which is always) it's fun to be able to jump into your blog and escape for a few moments.
camerapilot, thanks so much! glad you get a little kick out of checking this out. yep, it' been crazy busy. haven't had a day off in weeks. need more money! lol. flying patrol today, watching the kids on their easter egg hunts from above. pretty cool! i must say, corona is the swimming pool capital. so many beautiful and amazing pools. flying over them every day makes me want to take out another loan and get one asap. i want one so bad!
Yes, you have to have a pool and I know that someday you will have it!
I don't have a pool at the Van Nuys house and I wish I did.
I helped remodel a home off Chandler in the valley one summer (Don't ever let anyone know that you know carpentry, it's like letting people know you have a pickup...) and it had a pool! I brought my scuba gear over and during lunch and after work I'd hang out at the bottom of the pool, just hang there and blow bubble rings while it was over a 100 above the surface. Aaaaaaahhhhhh lol!
