News, police, news, police......

Busy week, flew for Ch. 2 tues., CPD wed., KMEX(ch. 34) today, and then back to CPD for the next six days. It's been really busy and really fun! It was great to see all my pals at Helinet this moring when I flew for KMEX. It was like riding a bicycle getting back into the jetranger for the morning show. Good times! Oddly enough....flying news is what gave me the skills to fly at high gross weights in the mountains on fires and the skills for rappel when hovering over a helispot for rappelers. News flying has been good experience and good times for sure! I love that I can still fly news in Los Angeles, fly for the Police, and fly Utility and Fire as well.

Finally posting this one today March 21.

Never a lost step when one seeks what they wish to do Dez.
From the moment I came across your blog I have not seen one digressive step taken by you.
All these trials that were put before you were not odd at all but were only steps that would lead you to your next opportunity.
There is one word that you repeat the most more than any other while describing your work Dez and that word is "love."
I'm sorry Dez, but if you keep up like this you will only be a success.
I'm happy to be in your mind set because I too love my work.
There are times more than not when I hear my fellow crew members complaining about the conditions we are in sometimes and yet I seem to see it as a gifted moment, extreme at times, yes but wonderful none the less!
"Give me not a warm bed and comfort when I ask but give me a challenge and the fear that will make me respect my moments of living."
I think that is why I fly and that is why I find myself on these motion pictures that take me around the world.
You are most amazing.
No wasted steps Desiree, not one!
