Bell School it the place to be.....
If you're a pilot in L.A., Bell School seems to be the hot spot this week. Pilots from Los Angeles City Fire Air Ops and Pasadena Police Department are attending Bell School along with myself and co-worker Russ James. Funny, last time I was here, Los Angeles County Fire's Chieft pilot and other L.A. County fly boys were here. What are the odds??????? L.A. City's Chief pilot and other fly boys are here. Today was our first day of class and at the end of class Bell has a little party in the hangar for all the classes and everyone at Bell. Everyone who works at the Factory is great. Our instructors should be doing standup at the local comedy clubs. Normally I always fall asleep in ground school but these guys keep in very entertaining and informative. Launa( I think that's how it's spelled) one of the employees gave Russ and I a ride back to our hotel as our shuttle left us behind. Everyone here is truly wonderful. Good times! By the way, the weather here is crazy. Luckily I landed before the tornados rolled in as some other students weren't so lucky. Last night a tornado touched down locally in a small town somewhere north of us. I bet it's warm and sunny in L.A. It's cold, rainy, sleet and hail falling and some wacko tornados. lol.

Desiree, isn't March weather in Texas entertaining? :-) The other crazy thing is if you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes. Speaking of crazy weather, assuming you haven't already seen it, check out the video of an Airbus (or as I like to call them, Scarebus) trying to land in Germany in a nasty crosswind. The pilot ended up scraping a wingtip on the runway. Was all over the news today. It's kinda like watching jets at ONT trying to land in the Santa Anas. Have fun in TX!!!!
