Too much fun......

Also saw this house in Agua Dulce on the way back from palmdale today. Wow, motorcross lovers house! Check out the cool pool and track! A little bit of a junk yard in the middle, but great piece of land!

Aerial pic of that peak at 6000' I rode to monday. Took this pic today coming back from palmdale from a fatal accident. The photo does not do it justice. The view from there on the bike was a 360 panoramic view. It was amazing and couldn't believe I rode that far. I'm still sore all over today. Every muscle aches.

Went an a long ride for me monday morning before work. Some pics from atop the moutain we rode to.

Some cool pics of the fire saturday afternoon.

On our way to the Los Flores fire saturday afternoon.

Fire is pretty much out at this point.

Some aerial pics from chopper 4

The barham fire from the taxiway before we launched. We flew 2 choppers that day. Chopper 4 is twice as good as chopper 2 as the comedians would say! lol.

Another fire at the same time of the Barham fire in the valley towards Panorama or so. We still never found out what that little poof of smoke was from. Not enough smoke for a care fire and too little for a structure. Odd!

The view of the Barham fire on friday from our office here at Whiteman Airport. You can see the glass top table the wind blew over and destroyed in the corner.

Busy weekend for Stu and I. Flew both the Barham and the Los Flores fires. We had fun flying over the weekend! Good times as always with Stu. It's always great to work with someone who enjoys flying as much as you and is just plain cool and fun to be around.

Monday, I rode before work with a buddy of mine, Kevin Walton, another chopper pilot. I went on one of my longest rides. As much as I talk bout dirtbike riding it is still new to me. I've only gone around 10 times or so since I've owned the bike. The ride was great! Went to the top of the highest moutain in the area. The marker was hard to read. I think it said Pelona? Not sure. Anyway, it was about 6000 feet. The view was great. It's funny, I fly every day and am amazed at the view from my office in the sky each day, but the view from being on foot after riding up there was a different kind of appreciation. It was undescribeable. Can't wait to ride back up there again.

Camera in the box office, very cool!
Unfoldment is always there when you are ready. Fantastic!
Nice dirt ride too!! Used to ride from Dana Point through San Juan Capistrano and up into the Ortegas about a thousand years ago. Distance takes a toll. Amazing what those racers experience down on the 1000 at Baja.
While you were sleeping the Taliban attacked Chatsworth last night. Small arms fire, AK's and M4's throughout the night. I hope you didn't hear it because it was off and on from 8pm till 5am. The reports from the rifles smacked and bounced all over Rocky Peak and beyond. I'm sure we are endearing ourselves to the nearby neighborhoods!Lol.
Come by anytime. Give me a heads up so I can get you in.
Last night the view was awesome. Inversion layer came in and turned the sky navy blue and then the moon rose up a pumpkin color and mixed with wisps of gray clouds. A pd ship came by, I flashed my flashlight and he flashed back. Fun to acknowledge that most people still have that kid in them.
Desiree do you keep a "reel" of the commercial & feature work you participate in?

4/5
Another night on the snowy ridges of Afghanistan ala Chatsworth.
Desiree, production told us that tonight will be the final night of shooting up there. No shooting on account of Good Friday.....
If schedule permits come up anytime tonight. Call is 6pm and we start showing up around 5pm.
The park is open during daylight hours to the public so one can walk through and take a gander at the set. Set Decorators on this are very clever. They never fail to amaze me!
Good morning & Goodnight!

laguna, that sounds cool with that marine layer that night. no unfortunately i do not have an copies of any of the films and commercials i flown in. it's always so difficult to get copy from them sometimes and it doesn't seem like having a reel would get me jobs. it's always who you know in this biz. it would be nice to have that stuff just for my own personal i love me wall. i could watch it when i want to show off to myself. lol. by the way, i do have an i love me wall in my office.

Your right about "It's who you know"in any business and most any situation you get involved in.
I stop myself every time I want to update my credits in that IMDb thing.
This Saturday I too go back to work and then I'm off the Redford movie and onto a week of car commercials.
No rest for us wicked.
Enjoy the training as much as one can over at VNY.

Well, in my opinion, anyone who'd post a personal diary online that tells (and really thinks we care) the world about their every move and goes on and on explaining how "happy I am" all the time and that has at least a dozen photos posted(of which at least three-fourth's are photos of themself) would definitely be thought of as a person who has plenty of "I love me" walls in their home.
I hope the "I love me" walls are a bit better looking than your back yard.
Maybe you should aim on becoming just a wee bit less self-centered???
PS
Stop boozing it up and riding your motorcycle. Very, very dumb.

laguna, hope you got some rest. i sure did. lol. i heard the redford movie was done shooting this week?

1, hmmmmm, guess i am making someone jealous? keep your opinions to yourself if they're negative. no one wants to hear them and it's obvious whoever you are that you have a personal issue with me. that's not what my website is about.

Don't think he/she is jealous, just maybe warning you about the dangers of drinking and driving.
Esp in light of the fact that you admitted doing so on the 'net.
I doubt your employer would be impressed knowing you drank martinis then hopped aboard a motorcycle to get back home (which is exactly what you said you did)!??

anonymous, i understand your concerns and appreciate positive input anytime. the comments from #1 seemed negative. telling me i'm self centered. a blog is about sharing your adventures, so if it seems self centered, then i guess every blogger is. i do not recall ever saying i drank a martini and hopped on a dirt bike. that is stupid, especially since i ride in the mornings before work. i do not drink and ride and have no idea who said that or where it was said that i do both at the same time.

anonymous, i read and read my blog trying to find where you read that and i found it finally. i guess it's typical communication failure, the reason for so many divorces and failed relationships with friends and loved ones. you misunderstood what i wrote because i was not clear about what i wrote. i can totally see how you got that from what i wrote. i learned from this to be more specific if i am going to share my personal adventures in the future. there's a huge difference between a "taste" and a drink, so i will be more specific. fyi, my alcoholic consumption is rare now adays. im on call most of the time so when i have a day off, a glass of wine in the hot tub is quite nice and i see no harm in that, but i do agree about how what you read was interpreted the wrong way and i guess i have to thank you for helping me clear things up.

1, i still think you are jealous or have some other type of issue when i read what you wrote, unless you were to be more clear. from my experience, people say bad things about others when they are jealous or unhappy with their own lives. i am really fortunate to have a positive attitude about everything in my life and i really do have a great life. i share that with everyone who reads my blog because of their positive feedback. i see many bad things that happen to people every day as a result of flying for the news, so i've learned to appreciate everything and everyone that comes into my life. even my bad days aren't so bad when you think of all the other horrible things happening in the world. it would be selfish of me to complain about my day over the little things and even the big things. as long as you have your health and your family and friends, everything else is what you make of it. you create your own happiness or doom. if you say you don't care about reading what i have to say, then why are you reading and commenting?
