Spent Christmas in Mammoth

What better than to be in Mammoth for the holidays. The weather was perfect up there. Snow, not the best I've seen, but it was good. Had a great time. Went up with my friend Peter from work and Lewis, my roommates buddy.

I rode the mountain mostly by myself and then met up with the guys at the end of the day. Oooohhh, the benefits of riding alone, the singles line, no waiting there, and riding the chair alone most of the time, ahhhh the benefits of lounging in that lift chair on the way up. Nice!

We ventured to the hot springs called Wild Willy's one night and tried to find another one on the other night that I had seen from the air over the summer when I was flying my fire ship up in Mammoth. If anyone has the coordinates for "The Tub" which is the hot springs that concrete was layed around, let me know. That one looked cool from the air. No luck finding that one. Wild Willy's was great. A bit of a long trek in the cold and snow though, but well worth it.

Planning on going back soon when they get more snow.

There are directions to the hot springs there. One is called "the tub". Not sure if it's the same one you saw. Have been to one that's down the road way past Hot Creek Fish Hatchery. Am working on getting the lat/long for ya.

Found the lat/long for your gps for the tub listed on that site...

Hope that's the right one. Google Earth actually does come in handy sometimes. :-)

This one looks like the other one that's down the road past down past Hot Creek past that hatchery.

Worth a shot anyway. It's a little more secluded down in a small little bowl.

Hope that helps Desiree...
